Don't ask me how that got there

This morning I'm walking around the office, standing back where I adjust patients, and I have this weird feeling in my right foot. It felt like I had a big wrinkle in my sock that was rubbing the bottom of my foot raw. After a few patients I had a break and went to my office to fix my sock. When I took my shoe off I felt something inside my sock -- a 1/2 inch shard of plastic poking my foot. I can't figure if it was in there from the wash or if maybe I stepped on something taking out the trash and didn't notice or if gremlins slipped it into my sock when I wasn't watching, but it was just weird to find.
